PwC Cameroon is recruiting for one of its clients based in Cameroon, an IT infrastructure expert.

 

Mission of the position :

  • To ensure quality service delivery through the provision of efficient and effective IT operation, while ensuring conformity with the bank’s laid down procedures/processes ;
  • Manage IT risk issues that arise in daily activities at the branch level ;
  • To ensure that all servers are up and running ;
  • Attend to user related ;
  • To ensure that all IT Security on the network are in place.

     

Main responsibilities of the position :

Without being exhaustive, the main responsibilities are based on administration, operation, maintenance, security, support and studies tasks, including :

  • Monitoring resources usage on AIX server  ;
  • Monitoring resources usage on disk Filers ;
  • Managing disk space usage on AIX server  ;
  • Managing disk space usage on disk Filers ;
  • Deployment of various solution (Exchange, OCS, WSUS) ;
  • Exchange mailbox backup  ;
  • Users creation / deletion ;
  • Daily backup of Core Banking Application database to tapes ;
  • Monthly test restore of the tapes ;
  • Routers  and firewall configuration of the corporate network ;
  • Links monitoring and troubleshooting of the corporate network ;
  • User’s support ;
  • Monitors the functioning of the VPN link connection ;
  • Maintains and updates hardware equipment ;
  • Etc.

  • Data center monitoring ;
  • Data center access control ;
  • Compliance to procedures ;
  • UPS & AVR availability at branches ;
  • UPS, AVR & data wave magnetic synthesizer availability at both DC & DR ;
  • Timely power infrastructure deployment tosites  ;
  • Central source code library ;
  • Implementation of security measures in use of enterprise servers and databases ;
  • Vulnerability assessment of web applications ;
  • Ensure backup of all internally developed source code to central source code library.

 

Profile required    :

  • Minimum 4 years of higher education in computer science, preferably an IT engineer ;
  • Have already worked for at least 5 years in a field with high requirements of service continuity (Banks, Telecommunications) ;
  • Have a SENIOR profile.
