CONSULTING SERVICES : DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF BRANDING AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL FOR 5 TOURISM BUSINESS CLUSTERS

The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the African Development Fund towards implementation of the Economic Diversification Support Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for consultancy services to design and produce branding and promotional material for 5 tourism business clusters for the Government of Lesotho. The five tourism business clusters that are focused on are :
- Accommodation ;
- Tour operators ;
- Event organizers ;
- Tour guides and
- Crafters.
The overall objective of the consultancy is to facilitate development and implementation of a strategy to promote the tourism business clusters and raise awareness about the services and products offered by the clusters. The consultant will work closely with LTDC and design public awareness strategy to increase awareness on the 5 tourism business clusters available in the country; visit various clusters and stakeholders to collect appropriate information that can be used to design appealing content to develop promotional material; conceptualize, develop templates and design all promotional materials deemed appropriate, which might include banners, billboards, posters, web campaign, photos, campaigns for broadcast, print, social media, scripts and videos and related activities as part of the awareness strategy; prepare action plan for implementation of developed branding material listed above; develop guidelines for editing and publishing branding material and train LTDC marketing officials to familiarise themselves on how to edit the templates.
The consultant is expected to have the following competencies, skills and experience :
- Master’s degree in communications & marketing with minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Marketing, branding, designing and development ;
- Qualified and accredited branding and graphic designing for more than 5 years ;
- Proven knowledge & understanding of tourism development and marketing ;
- Ability to come up with innovative and creative ideas ;
- Familiarity with website development and social media platforms ;
- Ability to assess quality photos & to supplement available pictures where there is need ;
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
The estimated duration of this assignment is 2.5 months from the date of signing of the contract.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested individual consultants must send a CV that provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this assignment (reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, availability, etc.).
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy and Methodology for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
