1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 18 February, 2020 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website ;
2. The Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA) has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Design, Supply, and Installation of Construction of Distribution lines and Customer Connections in Rural Communities in Nimba and Bong Counties in Liberia. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract RREA-WKS.DL 01/2020 ;
3. The Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the or execution of the works; Design, Supply, and Installation of Construction of Distribution lines and Customer Connections in Rural Communities in Nimba and Bong Counties in Liberia ;
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the offices indicated below, on working days from Monday to Friday 9am-4pm GMT. More information on how to purchase bidding documents can be obtained by contacting Lester Kroma at info@rrealiberia.org , samueln@rrealiberia.org Cc: lesterk@rrealiberia.org paschalinam@rrealiberia.org ;
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Two Hundred United States Dollars (USD 200.00). The method of payment will be by Bankers Check in favor of RREA alternatively, a direct payment to the following bank; United Bank for Africa, Account Number 53030030000064, Swift Code-UNAFLRLM and submitting the payment advice as evidence to collect the Bid Documents. An additional amount will be charged for deliveries by courier ;
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Plant Design, Supply, and Installation ;
7. Bids must be delivered to the below office on or before 10.00am GMT on August 10, 2020 and must be accompanied by a Bid security of USD 70,000 ;
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 00 am GMT on August 10, 2020 at the Conference room of the Rural & Renewable Energy Agency (RREA) located at the Old LEC Sub-station on New Port Street, Monrovia, Liberia ;
