The Government of Angola (GoA) has received a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the implementation of the Institutional Capacity Building for Private Sector Development Project (ICBPSD) and intends to apply part of this loan to payments under the contract for consultancy to carry out CAPACITY BUILDING OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSME) ON PROFITABILITY IMPROVEMENT SOLUTIONS BASED ON THE THEORY OF CONSTRAINT, LEAN AND SIX SIGMA (TLS) BODY OF KNWOLEDGE.

The services included under this project are: (i) deliver training of trainers on Theory of Constraints, Lean and Six Sigma (TLS) profitability improvement methodologies for 150 trainees selected from MSMEs, business training providers, and INAPEM – which is a public service institution heading the development of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) sector in Angola; (ii) following on the theoretical training of the TLS ToT, undertake business diagnostics, and value stream analysis, to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities of 75 companies, which will be selected by INAPEM from the most valued value chains of non-oil and non-diamond real sector economy in Angola, and; implement Theory of Constraints, Lean and Six Sigma holistic solutions for productivity and competitivity improvement in the selected 75 companies, through on job practical training and mentoring process.
