- The Government of South Sudan has received grant funding from the Transitional Support Facility (TSF) which is being administered by the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Strategic Water Supply and Sanitation Project (SWSSIP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract to develop South Sudan policy guidelines and strategy of Gender mainstreaming into Urban and Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene ;
- The services included under this project are :
- Develop South Sudan Gender policy guidelines and strategy for mainstreaming gender in urban and rural water supply, sanitation and hygiene interventions; and
- Build the capacity of project staff of water supply and sanitation utilities on how to analyze, integrate and mainstream gender in their projects implementation.
- The South Sudan Urban Water Corporation now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, valid registration/incorporation certificates, etc.) Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification ;
- Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org ;
- Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time ;
- Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 9th December 2021 at 3:00 pm local time and mention “Develop Gender guidelines for Gender Mainstreaming and strengthen the capacity of Stakeholders on Gender Mainstreaming”.
