The Republic of Mozambique (hereinafter called “Borrower” has received financing from the African Development Bank Group (the “Bank”) toward the cost of Nacala Development Corridor Phase I and III. The Administração Nacional De Estradas (ANE), an implementing agency, intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this Request for Expressions of Interest is issued.
The services included under this consultancy are :
- to review and analyse the technical aspects and the results achieved during the implementation of the projects and to provide to ANE and the funder AfDB with recommendations to remedy any errors that could have occurred, or to improve the implementation and results of projects and ;
- to assess the implementation of the entire Nacala Corridor projects with regard to the applicable regulations and conditions of all Works Contract Documents.
This assignment shall run for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) months after the commencement date of the contract. During this period the Consultant’s task shall be performed intermittently in three missions.
The National Roads Administration (ANE) now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework for Bank Group-Funded Operations” dated October 2015 which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
