The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the African Agri-Business Engine, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for a Consultancy services for : Alignment with National Agricultural Investment Plans (NAIPs) and Country Agribusiness Partnership Framework (CAP-F) Business plan development in 5 countries (Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania).

The services included under this consultancy are: Assist project countries to assess their current operations to ensure their NAIP is private sector sensitive and consistent with the national commitment towards private investment into agriculture :

  1. Identify the needed adjustments or take the new actions required to ensure full alignment and accountability between the NAIP and the CAP-F operational plan ;
  2. Support the streamlining efforts between the NAIP and CAP-F operational plans.

The assignment will be undertaken in the following five countries: Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda and Tanzania, and will last 05 months. The estimated starting date is May 1, 2021.

The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD now invites eligible consultants (individuals or firms) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework for Bank Group-funded Operations, October 2015 edition which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
