The Government of the Republic of Namibia has received grant funding from the African Development Bank to toward the cost of the development of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Framework for Namibia the City of Windhoek and the piloting of the preferred/recommended model., and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Consulting Services for the Development of an Intelligent Transportation System Framework for Namibia.
The services included under this project are, through the Project Stakeholder Committee, to support the Ministry of Works and Transport, as the Executing Agency of the project, in the undertaking the requisite research and formulation of a comprehensive Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) framework for Namibia. The suitable consultant shall be engaged in a technical, policy and legislative advisory role in support to the Executing Agency through the Project Stakeholder’s Committee for the duration of the contract..
The Ministry of Works and Transport now invites eligible consultants, consortium of consultant or joint ventures to indicate their interest in providing the required services as herein expounded.
Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services as specified (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of short-list and selection procedures shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Rules and procedures for use of consultants (May 2008 Edition, revised July 2012), which may be obtained from the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
