REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS)

FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND DETAILED DESIGNS FOR INCLUSIVE FAECAL SLUDGE

MANAGEMENT IN UN-SEWERED URBAN CENTERS PROJECT

 

 

The Government of Uganda has received financing from the African Water Facility (AWF) towards the cost of the Feasibility Studies and Detailed Designs for Inclusive Faecal Sludge Management in Un-Sewered Urban Centers Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amounts of these funds to payments under the contracts for consultancy assignments to conduct Feasibility Studies and Detailed Design of Faecal Sludge Management facilities in selected Town Councils in Uganda as indicated in the table below:

Moyoundertaken:  topographic  and  geotechnical  surveys,
detailed  designs  and  preparation  of  operation  &
maintenance  plan,  environmental  impact  study,  cost
benefit analyses, and validation workshops and reporting.
Preparation of Specifications, Tender Documentation,
Manuals and Cost Estimates that will cover preparation
of  the  relevant  specifications,  tender  documentation,
manuals and cost estimates.
Duration of each Assignment: 10 months

 

The Ministry of Water and Environment, now invites consultants (firms) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 29th March 2019 at 11:00 a.m. (local time) and mention the Procurement Reference Number and Subject of Procurement indicated in the above table.
