In addition to the existing questionnaires available at , new questionnaires should take into account the inclusion of energy data related to energy efficiency, energy prices and taxes, bioenergy data and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG7) indicators. The set of questionnaires developed in compliance with the above characteristics will underline the design and the new structure of the AEIS database system. This part of the assignment will require a highly and proven competency in energy statistics, energy information system and/or energy economics ;

The tool must provide the following: (i) Energy balance for all 55 African countries; (ii) Dashboard (including charts, tables, etc.) to facilitate the understanding of the data; and (iii) Country pages related to the Energy Statistics Publication of AFREC. This visualization tool must provide the above three components in two formats which are Excel-based and Web-based. An expertise in data visualization through Excel and the web is highly demanded here ;
  • Training section: Along with the transfer of the AEIS to AFREC, a training program must be developed for two types of stakeholders: (i) AFREC staff; and (ii) the National focal points. Specifically, the requirement under this assignment is the preparation and the design of the training materials for both categories of stakeholders (training program, training documents, and manuals). The consultant firm will conduct the training program.
