  1. The African Development Bank hereby invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in the following Assignment: “Senior SAP BW/4HANA Consultant” ;
  2. The main objective of the mission is to hire consultant with different skills to support the maintenance of the current SAP BW/4HANA system, to perform task on migration of missing objects from legacy BW system to the new SAP BW/4HAN and design reports on SAP BO tools including SAP Lumira for all Business areas of the Bank ;

The mission includes all necessary activities from extracting, transforming and loading data from source systems, managing all objects in the corporate Datawarehouse, analyzing the best way to provide the Operational reporting and Manager’s dashboards with the new SAP BI/BO reporting/visualization tools.

The consultant’s duties will include the following :

  • Collect Requirement ;
  • Detailed planning of process implementation ;
  • Define detailed blueprint for solution development and create test cases ;
  • Extract complementary data from SAP or other data sources to populate in SAP BW/4HANA ;
  • Develop all related objects and Assure quality of process models ;
  • Coach or assist others on BW/4HANA & BO Subject Platform ;
  • Train key users to familiarize with BW/4HANA & BO reporting ;
  • Presenting dashboard in SAP BO Launchpad and mobile devices ;
  • Integrating Power BI and OBIEE with BW/4HANA ;
  • Enable mobile device support in SAP BW/4HANA reporting using Web Intelligence and Lumira ;
  • Provide support to planning team on BPC planning process especially Capex planning.

  1. Essential skills/Competencies :
  • Master’s / Engineering degree in computer science, software development or related business fields and/or equivalent work experience ;
  • Certification on BW 7.x and BW/4HANA is a plus ;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BI Solution Technician within an IT organization ;
  • Deep Knowledge and skills in BI technologies and trends, data warehousing methodologies, BI tools such as SAP BW, SAP BWonHANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BO, SAP DS, OBIEE, Tableau, MSBI and SAP Lumira Discovery/Designer ;
  • Solid knowledge of ERP processes (e.g., HR, SD / MM, FI / CO, SRM), and BPC Embedded or classic ;
  • Experience of working with development agencies or big business industry ;
  • Fluence in French or English ;
  • Expertise in tools “Microsoft Desktop Productivity Suite applications,” including Word, Excel and PowerPoint ;
  • Very good experience in the development of SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW 7.3 ;
  • Proven experience in the development of SAP Web Intelligence/SAP Lumira reporting and Dashboards ;
  • Experience in Migration project from SAP BW 7.3 to SAP BW/4HANA ;
  • Programming experience with ABAP Objects, AMDP and HANA SQLScript is most ;
  • Solid experience in common front-end tools (Business Object client tools), SAP HANA Studio or Eclipse with BWM tools with different modeling perspectives and SAP Graphical User Interface ;
  • Experience on SAP HAN modelling using Attribute, Analytic, Calculation views ;
  • Good understandings on dynamic data tiering and NLS ;
  • Experience on users, roles, privileges, packages, schemas as part of Security and Development in BW/4HANA and SAP BO CMC ;
  • Experience on developing complex SQL Scripts in Calculation views, HDB Procedures and consume it within the BW/4HANA Objects ;
  • Knowledge to develop data flow and workflow in SAP DS and import files into HANA database tables ;
  • Experience in Reporting and Accessing Analytic/calculation views from Analysis for Office ;
  • Knowledge on SAP SLT and Smart Data access (SDA) and SAP Information Stewards ;
  • Very Good knowledge in some open source graph tools or the way to deploy reports to another Portal ;
  • Experience in the development of SAP PI interfaces or Talend Data Integration is a plus ;
  • Good experience in the development of interface with other visualization tools such as OBIEE, Power BI and SharePoint is a plus ;
  • Good Knowledge on SAP BPC Planning process is a plus.
  1. The Corporate Information Technology Services Department (CHIS) invites Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (CV, reference to similar services, experience in similar assignments, etc.) ;
  2. The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Bank’s procedures for the acquisition of consulting services funded by the administrative or capital expenditure. Please, note that interest expressed by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include him/her in the shortlist ;
  3. The estimated duration of services is twelve (12) months and the estimated starting date is 15 February 2020 ;
  4. Interested Individual Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during the Bank’s working hours: from 08:00 to 17:00 hours, Abidjan Local Time ;
  5. Expressions of interest must be received by email at the address below no later than Thursday, 16 January 2020 at 17:00 hours, Abidjan local time and specifically mentioning “Senior SAP BW/4HANA Consultant”.

A shortlist of three to six individual consultants will be established at the end the request of expressions of interest. The consultants on the shortlist will be judged on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume.
