REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

(CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS)

MULTINATIONAL UGANDA/KENYA: KAPCHORWA-SUAM-KITALE AND ELDORET BYPASS ROADS PROJECT

Procurement Reference Number; UNRA/SERVICES/2017-18/00016

1. The Government of Uganda (GoU) has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the Multinational Uganda/Kenya: Kapchorwa-Suam-Kitale and Eldoret Bypass Roads Project. It is intended that part of the agreed loan proceeds will be used for payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for Awareness Creation on the dangers of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) on the Kapchorwa – Suam road section.

2. The Main Objective of the assignment is to complement ongoing institutional efforts to stop Female Genital Mutilation and reduce Gender Based Violence in the project area.

3. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) now invites consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified and have the capacity to perform the services based on experience in similar assignments as well as availability of personnel with prerequisite qualifications, skills and experience. Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

4. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations”, dated October 2015 which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org

5. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours between 9.00 hours and 17.00 hours on working days.

6. Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below not later than 28^th September, 2018 at 16.00(Local time = GMT+3) hours and must be clearly labelled “Consultancy Services for Awareness Creation on the dangers of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) on Upgrading of Kapchorwa-Suam Road (73km)“
