Request for Expression of Interest:
- Natural Extraction Industries (NEI), Limited, Tanzania, has received a Grant from the African Development Bank and intends to utilize part of this Grant towards the cost of the following Assignment: To carry out project preparation studies to enhance the bankability of the Expanded Go Farming Project.
- The services to be provided under the Assignment which are Preparation Studies to enhance the Bankability of the Expanded Go Farming Project in Ghana, and include:
- To ensure a seamless, cost-efficient, integrated design of the new processing facility that will allow NEI Ltd to efficiently scale-up its processing capacity;
- To ensure a high efficiency level in the energy use within the factory and related infrastructure, including mechanisms for re-use of energy;
- To ensure a seamless design of the vanilla plantation and related infrastructure from a hydrological, structural, mechanical, and agronomical point of view;
- To develop a comprehensive Environmental and Social Assessment (ESIA) Reports for the new agro-processing factory and plantation;
- To perform a comprehensive Financial & Marketing feasibility study for these Projects;
- To ensure the development of the agro-processing factory and plantation is carried out efficiently from a Legal and Tax point of view.
- Natural Extraction Industries (NEI), Limited, Tanzania, now invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested Firms shall provide information (documents, reference to similar service, experience in similar assignments, etc.) on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake these assignments.
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedure shall be in conformity with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, approved by the Bank’s Boards on 14 October 2015, and available on the Bank Website at http://www.afdb.org. Please, note that interest expressed by a consulting firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Grant Recipient to include it in the shortlist.
- The estimated duration of services is 4 months and the estimated starting date is July 1st, 2019.

- Expressions of interest must be received at the address below no later than Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. local Tanzanian time and specifically mentioning “NEI LTD’s Feasibility Studies: Financial; Engineering services (includes hydrological and climate feasibility study) & Tax and legal advisory and an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Reports”.
