The Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone as part of its counterpart funding towards the Mano River Union Rehabilitation of Bo – Bandajuma Road Projecthas provide financing towards the cost of Consultancy Services for a Study to identify Trade Facilitation needs and assessment of Joint Border operations within the MRU Transport Corridors.

The objective of this task is to collaborate with the Mano River Union Secretariat, Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) and other key stakeholders in MRU states to undertake an assessment of trade facilitation needs for the region. The study aims at identifying Trade facilitation bottlenecks and develop action plan for implementing trade facilitation measures within the member states. The recommended outcomes will help to improve intra-MRU trade leading to closer economic co-operation goals of the Union and foster greater engagement in the wider ECOWAS integration space, Develop trade facilitation infrastructure, especially soft infrastructure, with a view also for efficiency and effectiveness of installed infrastructure, with clear linkages to the Growth Triangle programme.

The Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from Monday to Friday 0900 hours to 1700 hours.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 26th November 2018 at 1300hours and mention “Expression of Interest for: Consultancy Services for a Study to identify Trade Facilitation needs and assessment of Joint Border operations within the MRU Transport Corridors.
