The African Centre of Meteorological Applications for Development (ACMAD), based in Niamey-Niger, has received financing from the African Development Bank through the ClimDev Special Fund to support the cost of the Satellite and Weather Information for Disaster Resilience in Africa (SAWIDRA) project implementation, and intends to use part of the agreed amount of this grant to pay for the contracts of “Consulting Firm for Technical support during the Antenna procurement process and installation for the Regional Advanced Retransmission Service (RARS-AFRICA)”.
The services included under this consultancy are: Provision of technical support for the elaboration of biding document and analysis of technical offer compliance for the antenna procurement, provide technical support during the different steps of the RARS-Africa implementation: factory acceptance test, civil work supervision, on-site acceptance test, data verification and validation and technical monitoring during the warranty phase. The consultancy support is needed for (16) months, tentatively from November 2018.
ACMAD now invites eligible potential firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Firms may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank Group “Procurement Framework” edition October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
