Event Management Consulting Firm

1. The Bank hereby invites consulting firms to indicate their interest for an assignment to assist the Bank in its engagements with Event Management Companies (EMCs) including identification and selection process of the best EMCs and ways to optimize the resources allocated to event management activities.
2. The objective of the assignment is therefore to assist the Bank in apprehending the dynamic activity of Event Management; the recruitment of EMC, including drafting Terms of Reference/Statement of Requirement, participating in bid evaluation as member of Technical Evaluation Team, and taking part in the negotiations with the selected EMC(s).
3. During the assignment, the selected Consultant will gather input from technical staff in various Bank organizational units on their needs for event management services; analyze the data/statistics gathered on past events to assess lessons learned. The Consultant will also educate the Bank about critical issues that may delay adherence to event management deadline and targets and on best ways to address them. The Consultant will employ best practices in Event-planning and preparation of tender specifications. The Consultant will develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) to assess the performance of EMCs and advise on post-event period in order to document lessons learned and publicize outcomes.
4. The firm will draft ToRs for the recruitment of EMCs, and then participate in the evaluation of proposals and in contract negotiations with the selected provider(s).
5. Fairness and transparency in the selection process require that Consulting Firms or their Affiliates competing for a specific assignment do not derive a competitive advantage from having provided consulting services related to the assignment in question. In this regards, the Consultant selected for this assignment and his/her affiliates will be disqualified to participated in the tender for the selection of events management service providers, as this will give him/her an unfair competitive advantage over competing Consultants.

 

Duration of the assignment: 02 months

The Consultant will be based at the Bank’s Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire; however, part of the assignment can be performed remotely. The expected starting date is 01 December 2018.

The expression of interest should follow the following format:

• Details of the firm or consortium (including nationality of firm and contact person) including DACON registration number (maximum 1 page)
• Expression of interest (max 3 pages) detailing the firm’s strengths, expertise, approach and ay information deemed relevant to the assignment
• Experience in similar Assignments (max 3 pages)
• CV of key experts (max 5 pages)
• Any additional document deemed relevant
