Title of the assignment : Logistics Sector Policy Reform Advisor for the Government of Ethiopia
Brief description of the Assignment :
The main objective of this assignment is to provide advisory services to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation (MoFEC) and other pertinent agencies, such as the Ministry of Public Enterprises, Ethiopian Shipping Lines Enterprises, and Ethiopian Maritime Affairs Authority to support the reform and privatization program for the country’s logistics sector.
A suitably qualified logistics sector policy reform advisor will be hired to offer specialized skills, knowledge, and share experiences from other countries that have successfully implemented privatization programs, particularly in the logistics sector. The advisor will provide the necessary coordination, expertise, and skills set to guide the authorities in defining the vision for the logistics sector as well as the fundamental building blocks in designing and implementing holistic sector reforms and a privatization program that is consistent with Ethiopia’ s national development ambitions.
The assignment will be implemented during a 1-year period from November 2018 to October 2019. The logistics sector policy reform advisor will need to commit an effort equivalent to at least six person months within the 12-month period and an in-country presence of at least 120 days.
