About the role :

This is a new role for the region, and key in furthering the Global Security Team’s ability to support Amnesty operations worldwide. It provides an exciting opportunity to help shape our capabilities in Sub-Saharan Africa whilst working on a varied and challenging array of security projects.

Reporting to Amnesty’s Director of Global Security & Workplace, the Regional Security Manager (RSM) will ensure our processes in Sub-Saharan Africa best support the region’s needs, and contribute to furthering an effective security culture across all offices located there. Through his/her work staff will have trust in Amnesty’s Global Security Team, and be confident it operates both to ensure their safety and further their professional aims. The RSM will do this by developing tailored security procedures, delivering targeted and engaging training, providing effective support to Amnesty deployments, and building strong working relationships with key staff across the organisation.

 

About you :

You’ll have extensive experience providing security support to organisations throughout the region, and the ability to apply this knowledge worldwide. Having operated in many different global settings and cultures, you will be familiar with the specific security needs of INGOs, and committed to Amnesty International’s ideals. With a flexible and creative mindset, you’ll be able to ensure security solutions are tailored to specific needs.
