Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Regional strategic partnerships coordinator.

 

 


About the job :

The regional strategic partnerships coordinator is a key role in contributing to the development and implementation of DRC/DDG regional strategy. The regional partnerships coordinator will promote a new way of working by developing strategic partnerships in West Africa. The role will lead the identification and development of partnership either with civil society, private sector, authorities, think tank or NGOs. The role will contribute to the development of tools and processes and will support country offices in implementing them. The role will also lead regional program development with strategic consortia.

The role will work in close collaboration with regional sectors lead and with the country teams. The role will also work with the regional support services team to implement, refine and design administrative processes related to partnership.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

 

 

Strategic program lead and development :

  • In close collaboration with sectors lead, identify strategic partners at regional level. Support country offices in mapping potential partners and identifying strategic ones;
  • Together with the sectors lead, design sector approach to partnerships and inputs to the regional strategies;
  • Lead or contribute to strategic program development and ensures DRC/DDG representation in consortia
  • Develop partnerships and programs with think tanks or research institutes and organize joint events or workshops;
  • Enhance the work with authorities in countries and at sub-regional or regional level and initiate new ways of partnering with key stakeholders;
  • Contribute to innovative programming by providing partnerships solutions to operational challenges
  • Lead a regional and national reflections on partnerships and exit strategies;
  • Contribute to the identification of new donors and financial partners;
  • Represent DRC/DDG in regional or national fora and with key partners and donors.

Technical support and advice :

  • In close collaboration with regional and country teams, contribute to the selection and compliance with internal processes for the establishment of regional or national partnerships;
  • Support country offices in mapping and liaising with authorities at all levels (local to regional) and enhance sustainability and ownership in strategies and program development.

Quality control, evidence and learning :

About you :

Required :

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in humanitarian or development settings;
  • Political and cultural sensitivity with qualities of patience, tact, diplomacy and persistency;
  • Strong experience of donor liaison, fund raising, networking, advocacy and coordination;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proven record of staff capacity building.

Desirable :

  • Willingness to embrace and further develop overall objectives such as gender equity, impact monitoring, and cross-sector cooperation;
  • Willingness to travel within the West Africa region.

We offer :

Contract length: 12 months

Level: NM.F

Designation of Duty Station: Family duty station – accompanied position

Start date: 15th July
