II. Organizational Context and Scope

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Manager and the Sr. Programme Assistant and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission of IOM Chad, the Cash for Work team supervisors will be providing support to the implementation of the Cash for Work activities in terms of supervising the daily tasks of the cash for work teams of the project. In particular the incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Supervise the daily implementation of the work to be performed by the cash for work teams,
  2. Facilitate the clear and transparent communication of the project’s objectives to beneficiaries, stakeholders, local authorities, service providers etc.
  3. Maintain continuous and positive working relationships with the stakeholders of the project implementation areas,
  4. Ensure full and continuous documentation of the progress of the project,
  5. Supervise the registration and profiling of all beneficiaries,
  6. Ensure adherence to selection of beneficiaries in line with pre-identified vulnerability criteria, mainstream and encourage the equal participation of women in the cash for work teams,
  7. Supervise the payment of the beneficiaries, their attendance records and the performance of the cash for work teams,
  8. Coordinate the daily schedules and weekly workplans with the sr. programme assistant,
  9. Ensure adherence to the monitoring and evaluation system of the project in coordination with the M&E assistant,
  10. Contribute to the identification of community-based infrastructure projects,
  11. Maintain, document, organize, prepare and manage the workload of the cash for work teams,
  12. Contribute to the organization and preparation of outreach activities, socialization campaigns and other activities associated with the project in the project implementation areas,
  13. Maintain positive working relationships with all relevant stakeholders,
  14. Keep abreast of security developments in the area of project implementation in coordination with the mission’s SSU,
  15. Supervise the IOM cash for work team members and community mobilizers,
  16. Adhere to the principals of Do no Harm throughout the project implementation process, w

V. Education and Experience

Desirable Qualifications:

 

  1. Completed Secondary Education. Additional studies in Social Studies, Political Science, Education, Sociology, Administration, Accounting distinct advantage
  2. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in estates listed above.
  3. Experience with UN and International Agencies, or NGOs an advantage.

Strong knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

 

VI. Languages

FrenchFluent (mandatory)

 

Advantageous
Knowledge of English languages is an advantage.
