AAA-KPMG CI on behalf of the African Solidarity Fund (FSA) recruits in Niamey (Niger)one Project Manager.
The African Solidarity Fund (ASF) is a Multilateral Financial Institution with mission to participate in the economic development of its Member States, by facilitating the financing of investment projects both in the public and private sector. Its main intervention mechanisms are the financial guarantee, interest rate subsidy and extensions of loan periods. It also offers its partners third-party fund management and financing arrangement services.
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Project Manager is responsible for the study of projects submitted to the African Solidarity Fund and follow-up of current projects.
In that capacity, he/she shall carry out the following tasks:
- Analyse the applications for assistance addressed to the African Solidarity Fund sent by the governments of Member States, Banks and Management and Brokerage Companies and ensure compliance of the projects submitted with the rules governing the African Solidarity Fund;
- Carry out the technical, economic, legal and financial assessment of submitted projects and draw up reports and presentation notes for the decision-making bodies;
- Contribute to the regular monitoring of investment projects in portfolio, both on the economic, legal, financial and technical front, directly and/or in connection with the funding bodies, the promoters, etc.;
- Develop financial projections and monitor the management of obligations of the African Solidarity Fund in the sense of a good profitability and a good securing of its risks;
- Monitor the evolution of the socio-economic and financial situation in Member States of the African Solidarity Fund and draft detailed notes to the attention of the Directorate-General of the African Solidarity Fund;
- Take part in the creation and promotion of intervention products of the Fund in the Member States and promote partnerships with any natural or legal person within the framework of the operational development of the Fund;
- Prepare occasional and regular reports within the framework of the operational management of the Fund;
- Contribute to the improvement of internal procedures;
- Contribute to the strengthening of the client and intervention portfolio of the African Solidarity Fund;
- Draft technical Notes on specific topics at the request of the Directorate-General of the Fund;
- Carry out any other task entrusted to him/her by the Line Manager.
The ideal candidate must have the following profile:
- Holder of a diploma of higher studies (minimum BAC+5), in economics, finance, banking, accounting, engineering and a specialisation in analysis of (CEFEB, COFEB training or equivalent).
- A minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in the financial and project management fields, in a bank, a national or international financial institution.
- Have a good knowledge of mathematical, financial, banking, accounting analysis techniques, statistical tools and banking regulation;
- Have a good knowledge of financial markets;
- Fluency in French and/or English language;
