 AAA-KPMG CI on behalf of the African Solidarity Fund recruits in Niamey (Niger) a IT Engineer.

The African Solidarity Fund (FSA) is a Multilateral Financial Institution whose mission is to participate in the economic development of its Member States by facilitating investment projects financing in both the public and private sectors. Its main intervention mechanisms are the Financial Guarantee, Refinancing and Interest Rate Subsidy. It also provides its partners with expertise in third-party fund management and financing arrangements.

Under the supervision of the Director of Management Control and Information System, the IT Engineer will be responsible for managing the Fund’s information system and ensure control and optimal use of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) available within the FSA and, if necessary, suggest the desired developments in this area.

To this end, his/her duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assess and recommend investments in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of equipment, workstations and the diffusion of new technologies;
  • Analyze risks and deficiencies, margins for improvement of security systems;
  • Participate in the definition and control of authorization management;
  • Define and implement actions related to IT outsourcing contracts;
  • Define and evolvethe FSA information systems security policy ;
  • Conduct studies and analyzes to identify needs;
  • Select possible external IT service providers
  • Define the computer maintenance policy and other ICT tools;

According to the table of uses of the African Solidarity Fund (FSA), the incumbent must have the following profile:

  • Hold a postgraduate degree, at least a 5 years tertiary education degree in IT Engineering, Software Engineering, Advanced programming, or in any other similar fields. Knowledge in the field of management control, accounting or banking software packages would be an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in the IT field within IT service companies, in a national and/or international bank, institution or financial institution. Additional experience in the field of finance and banking and financial risk management software would be an asset.

  • a cover letter addressed to the Director General of the African Solidarity Fund;
  • a birth certificate or any other document in lieu thereof;
  • a detailed curriculum vitae;
  • a photocopy of the certificates awarded;
  • a photocopy of the Citizenship Certificate or passport;
  • contacts of three (3) reference persons who can prove the applicant’s professional abilities;
  • one (01) recent passport photo.
