The African Solidarity Fund (FSA) is a Multilateral Financial Institution whose mission is to participate in the economic development of its Member States by facilitating investment projects financing in both the public and private sectors. Its main intervention mechanisms are the Financial Guarantee, Refinancing and Interest Rate Subsidy. It also provides its partners with expertise in third-party fund management and financing arrangements.

Under the supervision of the Director General, the Executive Assistant and Assistant to the Governing Board’s main mission is to assist the Director General in his various functions.

To this end, his/her duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • To ensure a classical high level secretariat: writing various letters, making appointments, telephone reception, taking of messages;
  • prepare and arrange meetings, conference calls and steering committees;
  • Ensure the classification and organization of the files;
  • be the Interface with internal services;
  • Manage mails and e-mails (reception, answer, transmission);
  • Prepare draft agendas and convene meetings of the Fund’s legislative organs (General Assembly and Administrative Council);
  • Monitor and coordinate the preparation of documents for decision-making bodies and ensure their transmission;
  • Ensure that the list of State representatives in the Fund’s decision-making bodies is regularly updated;
  • Carry out the necessary due diligence, in case of appointment of a representative of a State to the General Assembly and the Board of Directors;
  • Monitor the Fund’s diplomatic and institutional relations;
  • Follow up on files (PowerPoint presentations, reports, minutes, formalities, reminders).
  • Organize travel arrangements (hotel reservations) for the Director General;
  • Screen telephone calls;

According to the table of uses of the African Solidarity Fund (FSA), the incombent must have the following profile:

  • Hold a Personnal Assistant Degree (a 5 years tertiary education degree) or equivalent;
  • Be perfectly bilingual (English / French);
  • Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience in a similar position in a company, bank, financial institution and/or international financial institution;
  • Excellent knowledge of office automation (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Be creative, independent, critical, curious and dynamic;
  • Rigour, creativity, confidentiality, priority management and pragmatism are essential qualities for success.

  • a cover letter addressed to the Director General of the African Solidarity Fund;
  • a birth certificate or any other document in lieu thereof;
  • a detailed curriculum vitae;
  • a photocopy of the certificates awarded;
  • a photocopy of the Citizenship Certificate or passport;
  • contacts of three (3) reference persons who can prove the applicant’s professional abilities;
  • one (01) recent passport photo.
