Organizational context :

The Customer service Associate (AMA) reports to the CATO (Chief Air Transport Officer) / Air Transport Officer (ATO)] /AMO Air Movement Officer (AMO) or National Air Transport Officer NOA and is responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient air movement control system and is responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient air movement control system with emphasis on customer care

Job purpose :

To provide and/or oversee a range of coordination, administrative and technical activities that support the delivery of a safe and effective air service to the humanitarian community.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive) :

  1. Receive all bookings, prepare and assist in submitting a provisional manifest to the ATO/AMO/NOA prior to the flight for the compilation of final manifests ;
  2. Coordination with focal point of user organizations to receive flight reservations, updated staff lists and focal point assignment forms ;
  3.   Inform focal points, passengers about the check in time, flight departure and arrival times and transportation connections ;
  4.   Notify focal points on wrong bookings relating to flights dates or routings not in accordance with UNHAS schedule effective ;
  5.    Verify SITREP before submitting to CATO/ATO and sharing with UNHAS Country Office Communication ;
  6. Immediately notify ATO/AMO/NOA of all irregularities observed in passenger reservations, unauthorized organizations, passengers, cargo etc

Standard minimum qualifications :

  • Education : Completion of secondary school education. Post-secondary certificate in air traffic control, flight dispatch, aeronautical engineering or related field is essential for Air Operations roles, desirable for Air Movement roles ;
  • Language : Fluency in both oral and written communication in French and english.

Desired experiences for entry into the role :

  • Experience in dispatching flights from uncontrolled airfields ;
  • Experience in interpreting operational flight plans ;
  • Experience in fuel planning, fuel management and supervising refuelling operations ;
  • Experience in airside operations and marshalling procedures.

Functional capabilities :

  1. Oversee and implement customer service activities ;
  2. Receive and analyze all requests relating to new users and give feedback to the requester ;
  3. Hold online training for new or older users as and when deemed fit so as to enable all users to make on line booking through the software aviation tool ;
  4. Give orientation to focal points about following issues ;
  5. Notify CATO/ATO/AMO on complaints, claims made by passengers ;
  6. Prepare and submit to Management all announcements relating to schedule maintenance, holidays, to be shared with users ;
  7. Address customers’ needs and offer them assistance ;
  8. Respond to messages in UNHAS.CHAD generic email box ;
  9. Respond, log and maintain customer feedback and ensure confidentiality for reporting in the UNHAS Complaint log ;
  10. Conduct periodic Passenger satisfaction and Access Provision surveys.

Terms and conditions :

Modalités et conditions d’emplois : Net Salary : 8 978 000 Francs CFA per year. Other Advantages: 30 days of annual leave, 24 days of sick leave per year, medical coverage for the employee and his dependants recognized, contribution to the United Nations pension fund.
