Starting salary for this position is £31,776 per annum (plus contributory pension).
We are currently seeking a Programme Support Coordinator to provide support to MAG’s lifesaving programmes around the globe. Reporting to a Regional Director, you will act as the focal point for a challenging portfolio of international programmes in the East and Central Africa region. The role incorporates key aspects of developing and supporting projects, including grant management, proposal development and reporting and internal stakeholder engagement, providing the opportunity to test your skills in a truly international role.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with experience of developing and supporting programmes, ideally with experience of working with a wide range of institutional donors. Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential for this role. With excellent project management and interpersonal skills, you will be creative, flexible, solution-focused, professional and committed to MAG’s goals. Experience of working overseas would be beneficial.
Experience and understanding of technical issues relating to mine action are not essential for this post; more importantly is your commitment to international humanitarian and capacity building principles. The role will be based in Manchester and will involve regular overseas travel to the East and Central Africa region.
