Malaria Consortium is recruiting for an Entomologist to join our team in Abuja Office.

The Entomologist will coordinate all entomological studies and ITN durability studies in the Ondo Net Campaign M&E Project, provide technical and programme oversight and direction in vector biology and control in the project area, and will contribute to the planning and implementation of all components of the project. The post holder will also provide technical inputs to entomological surveillance in Ondo State and other topical areas including the interpretation and use of data-informed decision-making for vector control.

The successful candidate will have :

  • A post-graduate degree or a postgraduate qualification in medical entomology ;
  • Research experience in malaria entomology  ;
  • Experience in insecticide resistance studies in malaria vectors  ;
  • Experience in studies involving vector biting habits ;
  • Excellent proficiency in written and oral English  ;
  • Excellent understanding of entomological aspects of malaria control including entomological surveillance  ;
  • Excellent understanding of LLIN distribution channels in particular mass campaign distributions  ;
  • Demonstrable skills in results measurement of entomological aspects of malaria control  ;
  • Proven track record of operational research  ;
  • Good presentation skills.
