Do you have experience in delivering rapid, safe and high-quality emergency scale up capacity?

Do you have experience in supporting programme strategy, operational design, humanitarian preparedness and responses?

Do you have experience in humanitarian Supply & Logistics, managing people, assets, capacity building of staff and partner organisations?

The Role :

We are looking for a Supply and Logistics Adviser to drive high quality responses to emergency humanitarian programmes as part of the GHT (Global humanitarian Team) mandate and to contribute to research and development that informs humanitarian community internally and externally through learning and best practice in Supply & Logistics.

What we are looking for :

You will be accountable for ensuring community participation shapes programme decisions, actively seek a partnership approach and worked following feminist principles including strong awareness of power dynamics. The Supply & Logistics Adviser will undertake the responsibilities listed below. Time allocations are approximate and will vary over time. The Supply & Logistics Adviser is expected to travel for up to 3 months per year and must speak fluent English and French, (desirable, Spanish) as the adviser position is to focus on 3 regions (HECA, WAF and LAC). Working location in one of the GHT Hubs: Nairobi, Ottawa, Boston, Melbourne, Oxford, Brussels, Barcelona, Copenhagen, The Hague. The successful candidate must state their preferred location and whether they hold the ‘right to work’ there.

The Supply & Logistics Adviser will :

  • Provide technical support to country programmes and regional platforms (70%) ;
  • Contribute to development in their technical sector and across others (30%) ;
  • Contribute to learning and influencing the humanitarian sector as a whole.
