About us :

Crew Planning Services is responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight and Cabin Crew for our regional, domestic, short and long haul international operations.  Our department comprises of a dedicated team of crew analysts, crew training planners and crew roster planners responsible for the provision, advice and delivery of aircrew rosters and to support the coordination and planning of crew training requirements.

We are now embarking on the next exciting steps of our journey and our team is evolving.  This is a great opportunity to be a part of the team as we go through a series of changes to better support our work groups and offer greater operational efficiency and effectiveness.

About the roles :

We have a variety of exciting opportunities on a 12-month contract to join Virgin Australia’s expanding Crew Planning Services Team.  These include ;

 

Training Planner – Cabin Crew / Flight Crew :

These roles involve coordination of all aspects of Flight/Cabin Crew ongoing training requirements including initial, upgrade, conversion and recurrent training programs, along with the management and maintenance of all associated records and qualifications

 

Roster Planner – Cabin Crew / Flight Crew :

Working in a diverse and professional team of aircrew resource planners and analysts you will be responsible for the provision, advice and delivery of compliant aircrew rosters for the Virgin Australia fleet

These roles will enable you to gain specialised knowledge in regard to the application of regulatory work rules as set by aviation governing bodies. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with influential internal and external stakeholders.

 

About you :

To be a successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate :

  • Demonstrated success in a similar resource planning or rostering role ;
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory rules to ensure strict compliance ;
  • Ability to apply industrial rules and enterprise agreements within a large organisation ;
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders across all levels ;
  • Utilisation of resource management systems i.e. Sabre Aircrews, Mint or Geneva; and MS Office in particular Excel and PowerPoint ;
  • Proven problem-solving skills, particularly within the context of a cost and efficiency focused environment ;
  • Adaptability in a dynamic and challenging environment.
