This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website of 16th August 2018.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has received a grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds for this grant to payments under the contract for Program External Auditor.
The service includes audit and provide audit opinion on the financial statements of the program covering Executing Agency program operations; (ii) the consolidated financial report; (iii) the separate audited financial statements from each of the other implementing agencies and (iv) a copy of the Management letter in respect of each set of financial statement submitted for January – December 2018, year 2019 and 2020. It will cover the CGIAR implementation Centers of IITA, AfricaRice, ICARDA, ILRI, AATF, CIP, ICRISAT, IWMI, CIAT, WorldFish, IFDC and FARA within four (6) weeks duration.
IITA now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills with relevant international professional certifications among staff, etc.) and cross countries presence/affiliation or network in many countries especially in Africa. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the African Development Bank’s October 2015 Procurement Policy Framework.
