How can you make a difference?

The efficiency and effectiveness of the support provided by the Sr supply assistant to the development, implementation and monitoring of supply component facilitates the delivery of concrete and sustainable results for the respective section, which in turn enhances the offices and UNICEF capacity’s in helping the most vulnerable women and children

Under the general supervision of the supply Officer, prepare requests for proposals/bids and purchase orders for all goods and services, obtains quotations from local vendors, monitors status of local supplies and maintains the filing of the supply Unit.

  • Reviews incoming demand/sales orders to ensure completeness and appropriateness of specifications/terms of references, drafts tender documents) Requests of quotations, invitations to bids, Request for proposals), and supports the implementations of tender process.
  • Support evaluations of offers through e.g. preparation of tabulation sheet and assists in analysis of offers
  • Liaise with clearing services providers to ensure timely delivery of programme and administrative goods at warehouse or project sites
  • Maintain and monitor all manual or computerized reports related to supply activities, supply deliveries to be shared with project officers and management ensure reconciliation with headquarter reports.
  • Draft contract and purchase orders
  • Ensures appropriate documentation of processes and data is kept on file. Maintain all data to ensure correctness and availability of information for source and availability plan, logistics plan, delivery plan and actual delivery schedule.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality assurance and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Ensure continuous availability of data related to procurement including forecasting, requisitions received, orders placed, incoming goods, actual delivery schedule.
  • Any other duties as requested by the supervisor

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have :

  • A first University Degree ore equivalent (BTS/DUT) in economics, Business or Logistics, supplemented by courses in technical areas of supply & logistics.
  • A minimum of 7 years of work experience in procurement , logistics in commercial working environment. Experience with computer databases e.g. excel for maintenance of procurement information/reports..
  • Fluency in French & English is required.
