Do you want to be part of an organisation that fights for children every single day? Then join us as Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Clinical Manager. You will be responsible for oversight and the provision of sexual reproductive health services and contribute to establishing quality reproductive, maternal and neonatal health services for women and girls in humanitarian crisis.

In our Humanitarian department, we fight for children every single day. We integrate emergency and development work, through our country programmes. We increase our capacity to meet the assistance and protection needs of children and their families affected by crises. We go the extra mile – and we don’t rest until the work is done.

As SRH Clinical Manager, you are part of  the Emergency Health Unit (EHU) which ensures a pre-standing emergency health capacity to deploy anywhere in the world in the event of a major disaster or conflict, and will deploy often at short notice to lead the SRH component of the response.

  • Act as the SRH focal point for the response and integration of the Minimum Initial Service Package for Reproductive Health in Emergencies while deployed with the EHU, advocating and leading the inclusion of the full package of services ;
  • Manage, supervise and provide, where possible, direct clinical reproductive and neonatal health care as part of the EHU outpatient integrated package of primary health services ;
  • Promote integrated Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) best practices as per international and Save the Children minimum standards to women and girls that receive services from the EHU ;
  • Provide follow up support in countries where she/he was deployed and mentor trainees as per needs of the program.

To be successful you will be a registered midwife or registered nurse/midwife with experience of working internationally in humanitarian programmes in a clinical and managerial function. Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy you will have fluent communication and writing skills in English and French. In addition you will have :

  • Previous first phase emergency response and low resource-settings experience ;
  • Experience with facilitating clinical trainings and proven capacity to supervise, train and coach clinical staff ;
  • Excellent Microsoft skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint ;
  • The capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.

Fluent communication and writing skills in one or more of the following languages, French, Spanish, Arabic is desirable.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

If you share our belief in the power of children, join the fight. It takes relentless determination, creativity and a real commitment to real change. Because every child should be able to make their mark on their world, and help to build a better future. We look forward to hearing from you.
