Takaful Insurance of Africa is a pioneering dynamic Insurance Company introducing a new and exciting ethical perspective to the Insurance market in Somaliland and the region. Founded in the year 2013, The Company is the first and largest insurance company. The rationale behind Takaful lies in the need to provide risk management and financial security services that are founded on ethical principles and values. In line with our current strategy, we are expanding to the rest of Africa. We are in the process of recruiting highly qualified, experienced, competent and motivated individuals to fill the position of marketing officer in Garoowe and Bosaaso regions within Puntland.
The Role :
- Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity material to maximize brand promotion ;
- Creating marketing campaigns and working with the company’s external PR agency to see them executed ;
- Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the company message to their existing customers ;
- Contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan ;
- Planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success ;
- Evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing activity ;
- Market Takaful Insurance of Africa’s products to prospective clients ;
- Developing and implementing an internal marketing programme ;
- Supporting the marketing manager in day to day marketing activities ;
- Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field ;
- Proven experience as officer of marketing or similar role with at least 5 years’ experience ;
- In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, economics, and public relations best practices ;
- Solid knowledge of market analysis and forecasting ;
- Proficient in the use of MS Office ;
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability ;
- Fluent English and Arabic ;
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills ;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities ;
- Understanding of Sharia in the context of marketing, in particular, related to the predominant school of thought in Somalia.
