The African Development Bank request for expressions of interest (consulting services) for the project of operationalisation of its Technology park – Cabo Verde

Description :

The Government of Cabo Verde is embarking on the operationalisation of its Technology park. In 2013, it concluded a financing agreement with the African Development Bank to develop a Technology Park. The Park will contribute to the sustainable development of the country by supporting the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. The park includes: the construction and equipment of a Data Centre and Business Continuity Plan or Disaster Recovery site Business and common facilities Centre, Incubation Centre and Training and Qualification Centre.

The consulting services will include but not limited to: detailed business plan for the park, establish strategic partnerships for the park, and establishing a private sector led governance structure of the park; of these  and are the primary considerations.

Based on the foregoing, the AfDB is seeking to identify suitable firms/consultants to prepare a detailed business plan for the park. The proposed assignment aims to obtain consultancy services to deliver the above requirements. The entire assignment is scheduled to be conducted in three months from the date of signing the agreement between the Bank and the consultancy firm.

The African Development Bank now invites eligible Consultants (firms) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s

“Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. The African Development Bank is under no obligation to shortlist any Consultant who expresses interest.

Interested Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office working hours (08: 00 -17:00 hours – Abidjan local time). Expressions of Interest must be delivered (in electronic form and/or hard copy in a sealed envelope) and mention “Expression of Interest for the Consultancy Services for the provision of Feasibility Studies of the Technology Park Business Plan”.

Expressions of interest must be addressed and delivered not later than 17:00 hours (local time) on 21st June 2019 at the address below.
