Getting started :

Go to the U.S. Embassy Niamey office website at https://ne.usembassy.gov/embassy/ and select Jobs at the Embassy.

Click on current vacancies to access our ERA Welcome Page.

Identify the job you are interested in and click on ‘View’ to access the related vacancy announcement. You will be able to apply by selecting ‘Apply to this Vacancy’, featured at the top of each vacancy announcement.

The first time you access the ERA Login Page, you will be required to click on ‘Create an Account’ and will thus be prompted to the ‘Account Creation’ page. Fill in the blanks as required (mandatory fields are marked by a red *), and make sure you note down your password and the answers to your three Secret Questions.

Once your account is officially created, a confirmation via an automatically generated email will be sent to you. You will be assigned an ID, associated with your Email address. Please save this information for future reference so that you will always be able to get back into the system. The ID/email address and your password will indeed allow you to log into the ERA system from that moment on.

Clicking ‘Done’ will lead you back to the ERA Login Page, where you will now be able to use your newly created credentials. You will then be guided through your application form.

Uties : Basic functions of this position are to perform routine driving as directed by the OBO Project Director (PD), Construction Manager (CM), or Site Security Manager (SSM).

Education  : Completion of elementary school (CFEPD) is required.

Experience : Two years professional experience as a driver is required. 

Knowledge :  Must know local/regional traffic laws and be familiar with area traffic patterns.  Must be familiar with proper motor vehicle maintenance such as how to check fluid levels, tire pressures, and safety checks. A driving test will be given.

 Language : Level III (Good Working knowledge) French and Level II (Limited knowledge) English. English will be tested.
