UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, A Logistics Champion!

The fundamental mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does — in programs, in advocacy and in operations. The equity strategy, emphasizing the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translates this commitment to children’s rights into action.

The Government of Sierra Leone has been implementing multiple strategies to alleviate poverty and improve the health and wellbeing of the population despite significant challenges such as the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in May 2014 and natural disasters such as mudslides and floods affects hundreds of families including children. With the successful completion of democratic elections early in 2018, it is expected that government efforts will intensify and scale into areas that are of priority also to UNICEF. The UNICEF Country Office (CO), in collaboration with donors and implementing partners, will continue to align its programmes to respond to the priorities of the Government and communities in the country’s development trajectory, ensuring decentralised and equity focused programmes for the wellbeing of all children in the country.

Under the supervision of the Supply and Logistics Manager in line with the country office programme objective, the Logistics Champion will contribute to the implementation of overall programme and supply chain activities in Sierra Leone.
