How can you make a difference?

  1. In collaboration with the programme section chiefs and officers, conduct donor report quality control to ensure conformity with the proposal, funds utilization and planned results. Review, edit and advise on layout and contents of the donor reports in cooperation with programme sections ;
  2. Ensure timely submission of donor reports. Maintain a donor reporting schedule and provide timely reminders to the sections to ensure that all donor reports are sent on time. Update and maintain donor reporting guidance and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), based on global guidance and the Chad office needs ;
  3. In close collaboration with the Budget Specialist, support Grant management and monitoring of allocations and financial reporting ;
  4. Ensure regular exchange of information with donors and strengthen donor recognition in collaboration with field offices and sections. Working closely with the Communication section, contribute to the organization of key events for advocacy and visibility ;
  5. Contribute to developing the UNICEF Chad Country Office Resource Mobilization Strategy, and other relevant presentations/updates on donor reporting for the CMT, RCP and Fundraising Taskforce ;
  6. Ensure programme sections and field offices are kept up-to-date with donor conditionality and it is respected. Organize training to improve staff capacity on donor reporting and knowledge management ;
  7. Support the Deputy Representative and section chiefs to compile and produce mandatory UNICEF reports (e.g. annual report) and other key strategic documents.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have :

Education : Advanced university degree in International Relations, Communication, Public Relations or related field. A first University Degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of Advanced University Degree.
Work Experience :
  • At least two years practical professional work experience in reporting, external relations or related field ;
  • Strong demonstrated experience in donor reporting required. Proven ability to synthesize and powerfully convey messages and good knowledge and understanding of UNICEF programmatic work and principles will be an advantage ;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with close attention to detail ;
  • Solid experience in the usage of computers and office software programmes and experience in handling web-based management systems ;
  • International and national work experience required ;
  • Background/familiarity with emergency situations would be an asset.
Language Proficiency : Fluency in English and French. Knowledge of the local working language is an asset
