Purpose

To provide technical support for electrical appliances and network in main office and field offices

 

How can you make a difference?

Key duties & Accountability

  • Assist in diagnosing technical faults and carry-out remedy for malfunctioning or defective air-conditioning, generators Solar Power system, HF/VHF Radios installation for Base and Mobile in field offices and refrigeration installations, and other electrical Appliances in main office and Field offices.
  • Plan, schedule and implement preventive maintenance of buildings, electrical power installation, air conditioning, security systems and refrigeration installations, and other infrastructure facilities.
  • Assist in, installation and troubleshooting of Local Area Network (LAN) cabling problems in Main office and field offices and  installation of Solar Power system, HF/VHF Radios installation for Base and Mobile in field offices, UPS system Data Center and End users.
  • Assist in, office moves in field offices by dismantling all Data Center Infrastructure and installing it in the new office.
  • Based on the instruction given by Security officer or ICT, assist in installation of Security light system, CCTV Camera System and Fire Alarm system.
  • Assist in re-install ICT equipment such as computers, printers, Scanners and connect them to the network.
  • Assist in technically evaluating bids and proposals for network and electrical systems installations projects.
  • Supervise, inspect, review and approve work orders the work carried out by external service providers or contractors.
  • Apply and ensure adherence to safety programmes related to the safe operation of air-conditioning and refrigeration installations, electrical systems, generators or power tools and equipment of the building.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of High school and other related professions, ability to communicate in English and local language. Experience with UNICEF or UN environment is in similar position is an advantage.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in similar activities.
  • English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
