About the role :

Located at Virgin Village in Brisbane and reporting to the Manager, Regional & International Airports, the role of Partnership Performance Specialist is to develop, implement and maintain a Service Management Strategy that encourages vendor partnership and optimisation of vendor performance across Ground Operations for Virgin Australia.

 

Key outcomes of the role will include :

Develop, implement and maintain a Service Management Strategy that encourages vendor partnership and optimisation of vendor performance across Ground Operations for Virgin Australia :

  • Facilitate and assist developing a “strategic partnership approach” for key contracts in Ground Operations across the Virgin Australia International and regional network.

Drive, inform and align both the Ground Handlers & the Leader Regional Airports on the provision of consistent and effective ground handling / contracts across Regional & International (R&I) network :

  • Provide core metrics and information to drive conversations between Regional Leaders and Ground Handlers ;
  • Critically analyse and contract existing provision of services – What is working or not with various provision of services? Why does it work for one and not the other?  How can we use success of one to influence the success of other similar provision of service?
  • Work with VA Procurement & Finance teams on commercial contracts & drivers of cost / service outcomes ;
  • Provide similar support as appropriate for contracts in mainline ports.

Assist with the implementation of the 4 Strategic Propositions for the R&I team :

  • Stakeholder Management ;
  • Internal Collaboration ;
  • Customer ;
  • Data Provision.

Ground Handler performance :

  • Organise and facilitate the quarterly performance management meetings with major Ground Handling contracts ;
  • Redesign and continuously improve the monthly port discussions to be driven by Leader Regional Airports.

Commercial :

  • Establish framework for provision of data / information to key stakeholders based on contracted KRAs ;
  • Work with procurement team on identifying outstanding / soon to expire contracts ;
  • Ensure any learnings from the life of existing the contracts are collated and included in contract re-negotiations.

 

About you :

To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for ground operations, have strong commercial and negotiation skills that you can share with a small, yet high performing team of Airport Operations professionals.  You will be able to demonstrate exceptional collaboration skills, be results orientated and can demonstrate improvements in vendor efficiency and enhancements.  Your strategic mindset and the ability to move seamlessly between the big picture and small details will set you apart from the pack.  Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in business and a minimum of five years’ relevant experience.  Your exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills in addition to demonstrated experience within operations service management will be an advantage.
