Get to know the role :

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Partnership Specialist to join our team, looking after the Retail portfolio.

Reporting to the Partnership Manager, the Partnership Specialist role sits within the Velocity Consumer Partnerships team and plays an integral role in ensuring that our retail program and partners achieve mutually beneficial objectives and targets.This role focuses on account management which includes coordinating the day to day relationship and managing and implementing campaigns for existing partners. It’s an exciting and varied role that will also cover projects,

 

So what does that mean?

• Generate new commercial partnerships through identifying, acquiring and developing growth opportunities within the Retail sector and lead the onboarding of these new partners ;
• Drive growth through the development of retention and expansions strategies which include strong partner engagement plans ;
• Define, establish and deliver partner marketing plans, digital innovation strategies, end to end campaign delivery and contract negotiations ;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal and Data Analytics to ensure that a range of promotions are delivered to Velocity Members throughout the year ;
• Develop proposals outlining features and benefits into the acquisition, customer engagement and business growth strategies and plans ;
• Support the manager with setting budget targets, report on performance and manage all billing and reconciliation of partner ;
• Negotiate new and renewed commercial partnership agreements that lock in access to new customer and membership bases.

Partner Specialist – Retail Business Development

 

What are we looking for?

• At least 7 years’ experience working preferably in an account management or commercial role ;
• Proven experience and strong knowledge of the loyalty environment ;
• Demonstrated experience in marketing and knowledge of development of digital roadmaps is advantageous
• Experience and strong knowledge of Retail and loyalty industry ;
• Demonstrable account and relationship management skills ;
• Strong negotiation skills and business acumen ;
• Flexibility and adaptability within an ever-changing agile environment.
