Job context and supervision :

suitably qualified candidate to fill the post of Programme Associate, Portfolio Management and Operations Support reporting to the Programme Policy Officer. The Programme Associate will be required to support the Programme Policy Officer to manage and coordinate the entry and analysis of Country Strategic Plan (CSP) data including beneficiary, tonnage, and cash-based transfers captured in COMET across the region.

 

Key accountabilities (not all-inclusive) :

  1. Coordinate the review and approval process for planning data in COMET for CSPs ;
  2. Provide technical support to Country Offices (COs) for timely capturing of data in COMET and liaise with the HQ team in troubleshooting to facilitate efficient design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of country programme portfolios ;
  3. Monitor the progress, accuracy, and consistency of programme data including planning, partnerships, and implementation data ;
  4. Work in collaboration with the Supply Chain unit to support the reconciliation of data across programme and supply chain systems ;
  5. Collect and perform basic analysis of data to contribute to quality business information management ;
  6. Perform other related duties as required.

 

Standard minimum qualifications :

University degree in Information Technology, Public Administration, International Development, Political Science, and Economics.

Experience :

  1. Has worked with technical teams and has the ability to understand the needs of technical teams and provide data in required formats, briefing teams on available data, and carry out demonstrations on how to analyse data etc ;
  2. Has contributed to implementation of programmes ;
  3. Has observed or assisted with policy discussions ;
  4. 5 Years relevant work experience.


Knowledge and Skills :

  1. Strong competencies in use of analytical tools (Tableau, SPSS, Excel) and logic to gather, analyse data, define information, situations, problems, and draw logical conclusions on the data ;
  2. Good organizational skills and ability to perform data processing tasks rigorously as required ;
  3. Good communication skills.

Language :

Fluency in both oral and written communication in English is essential. Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese, an asset.
