Who we’re looking for:

The Technical Business Analyst role is a critical role within the BI & Reporting Platforms team ensuring that new and existing ways of producing BI, Analytics and Reporting are understood and documented so that operational risks are minimised.

Your proven experience working in BI and Data Platform development teams will be highly regarded in this role. This background teamed with superior communication skills will ensure you build and manage effective stakeholder relationships, enabling the successful delivery of data initiatives.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Gather and document data specifications, acceptance criteria and data mapping, and drive the alignment between the requirements and implementation
  • Document current and future state Data, Analytics and Reporting processes across teams, as required
  • Understanding and developing detailed Technical Requirements that will drive the desired clarity and/or change to Data, Analytics  and Reporting Requirements
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and business analysts on defining business requirements
  • Support both agile and waterfall ways of working minimising contention between teams.

You’ll be great in this role if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in the same or similar role in a Data Platform Development team
  • Experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Analysis.
  • Must have experience working with and documenting data workflows and business processes
  • Ability to understand business requirements and map them into logical and physical data models within relevant modelling tools
  • Proficiency with SQL, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of data ingestion, data management and reporting fundamentals
