Virgin recrute un comptable financier sénior

 

Context :

Our Group Finance Team provides financial information to Velocity Frequent Flyer, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, and our core airline teams. The Senior Financial Accountant is a specialist who provides timely and accurate financial accounting advice to the group.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be heavily involved in the month end close process for the group, accountability for fixed asset accounting, preparation of group cash flow and balance sheet, and the timetabling process of the month end. Additionally you will be responsible for the preparation of notes to the group statutory accounts, preparation of subsidiary accounts and supporting the audit team.

 

 

To be a great fit for this role, you will bring :

• A high degree of technical accounting experience ;
• A high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a high volume of tasks ;
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and successfully communicate highly complex accounting issues to the wider finance and other internal teams ;
• The ability to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders of the role, including senior stakeholders across Finance and the business ;
• Demonstrated experience working in a corporate Financial Accounting team. Previous relevant experience in a Big 4 accounting firm will also be well regarded ;
• Hold a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) and a CPA/CA ;
• Experience in accounting for fixed assets, consolidation, and intercompany accounts (foreign currencies) and cash flow preparations ;
• Excellent understanding of accounting standards under IFRS.
