The Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies offers generous scholarships to excellent students interested in pursuing a MA in Theology. The scholarship includes full tuition and a €8,500 stipend.

Radboud University is a Catholic University. It is the result of an emancipation process of Roman Catholics in The Netherlands in the beginning of the last century. Dutch Catholics sought to promote the emancipation of Roman Catholics in the Netherlands, who at that time were strongly underrepresented in public administration, the legal profession, medicine and other sectors.

Degree Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s programme.

Available Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Theology.

Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship includes full tuition and a €8,500 stipend* (enough to cover basic living expenses [housing, transport, food, books and health insurance]**). The scholarship is renewable for two more years, for three years in total, provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Eligible Nationalities: International students can apply for these scholarships.

  • A letter of motivation
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Transcripts
  • An academic essay. The subject of the essay needs to be related to the academic discipline of theology, broadly conceived (including biblical, historical, empirical, or constructive/systematic perspectives). The essay should be between 2000-2500 words (excluding bibliography).

A Skype interview may be part of the scholarship procedure.
