Call for Abstracts: Sustainability and Development Conference

Abstracts on one of the conference themes are invited for the Sustainability and Development Conference to be held in November at the University of Michigan, USA.
The inaugural Sustainability and Development Conference will be held at the University of Michigan (U-M), USA, November 9-11, 2018. The conference seeks to bring together a diverse and interdisciplinary constituency to engage with the best approaches and means to implement the Sustainable Development Goals and assess progress towards them.
Abstracts are welcomed for oral presentations, lightning talks, panel sessions, posters, and workshops. Abstracts must address a conference theme:
Sustainable development and indigenous peoples
Building institutions for sustainable development
Education
Equality, equity and development
Conflict, security and development
Development and climate change
Reshaping economic geography
Agriculture for development
Water, sanitation and health
Biodiversity and conservation
Energy provision and access
Infrastructure and industrialization
Mobilizing the private sector
Financing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
An additional conference objective is to strengthen World Developmentby helping potential authors gain insights into the editorial review process, and by encouraging potential authors to submit papers to World Development. To this end, World Developmentwill select the top 10 papers submitted to the conference for expedited review and publication, and another top 25 papers whose full text is submitted to the conference to send out for review.
