CALL FOR PAPER/POLICY BRIEF SUBMISSIONS: UN Major Group on Children and Youth Publication on Decent Jobs, Future of Work, and Skills
The Next Generation of Work: Pathways to Decent Jobs for Youth by 2030 will be a special edition of the UN MGCY Science-Policy Interface Publication, released in coordination with the ILO Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth and the Youth Working Group to the U.S. Commission to UNESCO. On occasion of the International Labour Organization’s 100th Anniversary, the recently launched report of ILO’s Global Commission on the Future of Work, and this year’s Global Review of SDGs 4 and 8, this special edition will focus on the following thematic topics:
- Decent jobs: employment creation, social protection, rights at work, and social dialogue
- Future of work: understanding trends and implications
- Skills that promote sustainable livelihoods and the green economy
This an open call to submit a policy brief / article to include in this SDG8 Edition titled “Decent Jobs, Future of Work, & Skills”. We seek to engage a diverse range of voices, including but not limited to young researchers, practitioners, and industry representatives.. At least one author must be 30 or below.
The publication will be launched at a UN High Level Political Forum event in July 2019.
Requirements for Submission
- All submission must have one author aged 30 or below
- All submissions must be in English.
- All submissions must be uploaded through this form or sent by email to sdg8gfp@unmgcy.org
- All submission must be no more than 2,000 words, including title and text in figures. Citations should be done in APA format (https://www.apastyle.org/). Please include a references section at the end.
- Please use 12-point, Times New Roman Font
- Please upload file in Word format (.doc or .docx)
