The intern shall support the development of the morocco’s country planning framework (cpf) process, aiming at formulating planned in-country results aligning gggi strategic plan, service offerings and comparative advantage to national priorities

In Morocco, GGGI supports the government’s commitment to transition to a green economy, one of the pillars of the National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDS). GGGI is accompanying the NSDS, Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation process, aimed at promoting a green, inclusive, integrated and sustainable development model at the national and sub-national level. Its technical support focuses on the development of policies and incentives, identification and design of bankable projects, and assistance in mobilizing funding for their implementation, in alignment with the advanced regionalization process adopted by the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Country Planning Framework (CPF) is a planning document aimed at delivering in-country results that is in alignment with the overarching Strategic Plan and Results Framework. A meaningful and high-impact country strategy will ensure the sustainability of results, the capacity for continued delivery of results, and greatly increase the likelihood of sustained funding. In essence, the CPF will be the guiding strategy document for in-country programming and any new project design. The project logical frameworks should be incorporated within the CPF’s Results Programming, to which a project’s logical framework outcomes ought to contribute.

The 5-year CPF is a strategic planning tool in determining a long-range view of what GGGI and its partner government hope to achieve to deliver greener growth. It is imperative that in-country stakeholders collectively endorse the CPF as it will serve as the basis decision-making, planning, performance measurement, and resource mobilization and allocation.
